What is AgeJET?

AgeJET is an FDA approved nitrogen plasma-based skin treatment. Plasma has been a known skin regeneration treatment for years, AgeJET uses utilises nitrogen plasma to create micro-injuries deep within the skin. This process stimulates healing and your body will produce new natural collagen from within Unlike lasers and microneedles, Agejet preserves and protects the outer skin layer which means less pain and downtime.

What can you treat with AgeJET?

Varying the treatment depth and intensity makes AgeJET a hugely versatile modality that can treat many skin conditions. Unlike conventional technologies, it can be used on delicate skin; it is suitable for treating hard-to-treat areas like the upper and lower eye areas.

Non-surgical blepharoplasty [upper and lower] – AgeJet for the Eyes can tighten skin around the eyes without surgery. Agejet is safe to use even directly onto the eyelids, which is why it’s being used as the non-surgical alternative to a Blepharoplasty.

YOUR AGEJET TREATMENT TIMELINE

4 weeks before your treatment:

Minimise exposure to the sun and refrain from any tanning treatments.

Apply sunblock with an SPF30 or higher ensuring full coverage on all areas to be treated.

If you have been using topical treatments containing tretinoin, such as Retinol A cosmetics, within the last month stop using these.

During the week of your treatment:

Avoid using exfoliants (including scrubs, washes, and other treatments that remove the skin’s outer layer) during the week leading up to your treatment.

Keep your skin moisturised by applying a high-quality, non-irritating, and fragrance-free moisturiser twice daily or using a water-based mask daily.

Ensure you are drinking at least 2 litres of water daily to keep you hydrated

On treatment day:

Please do not apply any makeup and mascara on the day of your treatment.

Ensure your face is cleaned and without any additional products added to your face, this includes moisturisers.

Refrain from using perfume or cologne on the area receiving treatment.

Treatment Aftercare:

Your skin may feel warm, similar to the sensation of mild sunburn, for a few hours after treatment.

For the initial 24 hours post-treatment, it’s recommended to keep your skin dry and avoid applying any creams or lotions.

Expect skin flaking around 48 hours following the treatment, continuing for 2 to 5 days. It’s important not to pick at the skin during this time and to handle it gently. Once flaking subsides, ensure to use SPF 30+ sunscreen to minimise the risk of hyperpigmentation.

Generally, you can resume wearing makeup and shaving 2-3 days after your treatment, depending on the intensity of the treatment (low or high level).

If your treatment includes the lips, avoid applying lip products for the first 48 hours.
